Raj Lalwani
CEO

Raj Lalwani is the founder, chairman and CEO of Newput. He brings over 20 years of experience in the software industry. Most recently, Raj was the founder and founding-CEO of Billeo, a venture-backed startup focusing on online bills for consumers. Billeo raised over $4 million in Series A from institutional investors. Billeo is deployed by Visa and many of its member banks such as Bank of America, Target, Wells Fargo Bank and Wachovia Bank. Raj currently serves on the Board of Billeo. As a co-founder and President of Assigncorp, an Internet and e-commerce company, he was responsible for implementing Internet and e-commerce initiatives for customers such as Blockbuster.com, Sony PlayStation and National Airlines. Raj was founder and CEO of Intiva that developed the technology for the flagship product of SalesGorilla, developed in close collaboration with Cisco. Intiva was later acquired by SalesGorilla. Previously, Raj worked at HP and Gupta.

Raj is a published book author, a J.N. Tata Scholar, and has spoken at several HP and Gupta user conferences. Raj has an M.Tech. in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, India (Gold Medal) and an MS in Computer Science from the Penn State University.

David Jordan
Director of Interaction Design

David Jordan is the Director of Interaction Design at Newput. He brings 10 years of experience in the software industry with 5 years of experience designing user interfaces, specializing in web-based applications. Most recently, David was the Principal User Interface Designer at InQuira, a company focusing on improving customer interactions on the Web and in the call center. At InQuira, David was responsible for the design of major product differentiators such as InQuira's Personalized Response Interface and User Experience Manager. He also created the interface design guidelines for professional services teams and worked with customer design groups to create successful search implementations for several marquee customers, including Bank of America and Honda. At InQuira, David also spent a significant amount of time leading offshore development efforts. Prior to InQuira, David worked as a User Interface Design Consultant with Billeo, as a User Interface Design Lead with Icarian and as a software development engineer with Icarian, Assigncorp, Intiva and InfoGain.

David has an MS in Computer Science with emphasis in Human-Computer Interaction Design from Stanford University and BS in Computer Science from University of California, Santa Barbara. He is a member of BayCHI.

Jonathan Curtis
Vice President of Sales

Jonathan brings over 20 years of experience in technology sales, sales management, and strategic account development. Prior to Newput, he managed Western Region sales at Rich Internet Applications (RIA) innovators Laszlo Systems and Curl Corporation. Before Laszlo and Curl, he was the very first salesperson at marketing automation leader MarketFirst, where he consistently expanded business and exceeded revenue goals for over four years until Pivotal Software acquired MarketFirst. In addition to years of experience driving revenue generation for early and mid-stage technology companies, Jonathan has extensive hands-on experience in new product and technology market introduction, account relationship management, organizational leadership, and customer relationship management.

Jonathan has a Master's degree in Finance from San Francisco State University and Bachelor's in Economics from Augustana College.

Vipin Joshi
Director, Newput Infotech Private Limited, India

Vipin Joshi is a Director of Newput's India Operations. He brings with him 33 years of managerial and operational experience in various chemical industries around the world. Vipin has worked with major Indian industry giant Aditya Birla Group as Vice President in India and Thailand; setting up chemical industries, improving utilization of raw materials, utilities and manpower. Aditya Birla group has several plants in India, South East Asia, and the Middle East. Vipin has also worked with Shapoorji Pallonji Mistry group in their pulp, rayon and other chemical plants. Sapoorji Mistry group is a well-known construction company in India, Middle East and Europe. Vipin worked with National Chemicals in Bahrain to pull it out of red. The plant was not producing as per the quality norms and the cost of production was very high due to poor plant availability. Vipin's last assignment was with Rhodia Chemicals at Ambernath, Mumbai where he used his talent to reduce the cost of production drastically by 30% by incorporating the latest technologies with minimal investment and reducing manpower required.

Vipin is associated with data processing centers since 1979 when HCL began its operations with desktop computers using BASIC as the programming language. Vipin has worked with IT, computers and networking at the plants.

Vipin has a B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering (1968) from IIT Mumbai, India and M.E. in Industrial Engineering from Indore University (1979). He has remained on the merit list throughout his academic life.
