Newput is a consulting firm focusing on User Experience Design + Development for Web-based Applications. Newput works with some of the most promising and well-funded startups in Silicon Valley as well as large, established businesses.

We are experiencing tremendous demand for our services, especially development of Rich Internet Applications using Adobe Flex 2. The company is looking for talented and highly motivated individuals who want to be part of bringing new and innovative products and applications to the world. Recent Computer Science graduates from top universities are encouraged to apply. We will provide Flex 2 training. Authorization to work in the USA is required.

Job Description: Newput is currently seeking several Flex 2 developers to join our growing multi-disciplinary team. You will be responsible for the implementation of our customers' Flex 2 applications/products. You will be responsible for creating applications that are scalable, high performance, and memory efficient. You will also work closely with our user experience design team and other developers in the USA and India.

You must be self-motivated and able to work both independently and in conjunction with team members and customers. Enthusiasm and flexibility to work on a variety of projects are necessary, as well as the ability to rapidly acquire new domain familiarity.

Required:
  • BS or MS in Computer Science from a top university
  • Experience with application development for the Web
  • Experience with Object-oriented programming
Desirable:
  • Flex 2, ActionScript 3.0
  • Strong Dynamic HTML, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX experience
  • Experience with contemporary Rich Internet Applications
  • Familiarity with design patterns
  • Good understanding of the server-side development in general
  • Working directly with customers in a consulting role a definite plus
